Despite the bad weather Doncaster Rovers have been warming up for the new season in style with a trio of events.
The League One club launched their new strip at a special event with sponsors Wright Investment at the Keepmoat Stadium and when new signing James Hayter was eased into his new role by modelling the kit in front of an invited audience.
Colin Wright, Chief Executive of Wright Investments said: “The new kit unveiling was a huge success with business people from across the region and fans coming out to support the Rovers.
“This was followed by an open day at the club which saw hundreds of fans and their families enjoy the fun packed day at the stadium.
“We are delighted to be involved with the Doncaster Rovers as sponsors and have already seen what a professional outfit they are in their delivery of these events.”
The family fun day offered an extra bonus for three lucky winners who entered the Wright Investments and Doncaster Rovers Prize Draw. Winners were 1st prize Mrs Jean Harris, who won a chauffer driven limo and a meal for two at Nordst in Tickhill, 2nd prize Robert Newsome, who won a pair of Rovers tickets and a signed Rovers ball and 3rd prize Sophia Lynn Wheeler, who won a bottle of champagne.
Rovers fans have also been treated to a pre season friendly against Sven’s boys, Manchester City, despite losing 1-3 the Doncaster side put up a good performance and the fans enjoyed seeing the seasons new signings in action for the first time.
“There are great deal of good things happening at the club and I look forward to a superb season for the Rovers,” added Colin.
